Trim is dominated by the greatest treasury of medieval monuments in Ireland. Prime among them is Trim Castle, the largest Anglo-Norman Castle in Ireland, which was used as a location in the film 'Braveheart'.
Steeped in history, Trim also played a part in shaping the lives of such historic figures as the Duke of Wellington and Dean Jonathan Swift. Trim is now a prosperous and busy market town. Close by is the Visitor Centre where chronicles, knights and kings emerge through the mists of time in an exciting multi-media show. High quality local craft work is also available.
Attractions in (or near) Trim include:
Angling, Cycling, Gardens, Golf, Guided Tours, Swimming Pool and Touring.
